Mar 31 Supporting Youth Playwrights - Performance Workshop Penn GSE and Philadelphia Young Playwrights invite you to attend a group rehearsal session of an original, in-progress theatrical performance created by five Philadelphia-area youth, ages 8–11. These young playwrights have spent the past five weeks developing their work through enACTing Change, an after-school theater workshop designed to amplify youth perspectives to new audiences through drama. Their performance explores environmental advocacy in the digital age and has been written and shaped by their own experiences and stories. The rehearsal will be in-progress, interactive, and audience feedback is an important of our process. Please come share your reactions with us!

Mar 21 Bloomers' show! Would you like to come along to see the Bloomers’ show with us this Saturday 03/21 at 5:00 pm just around the corner, at the Annenberg Prince Theater? 😉 In case you folx didn’t know, UPenn’s very own Bloomers —founded in 1978 and named for the bold journalist Amelia Jenks Bloomer—, was the first women’s comedy troupe in the country. These days it is open to all gender identities underrepresented in comedy. For the last forty years, Bloomers has been writing, producing, and performing original sketch and musical comedy. There is a completely new show every semester, and the troupe travels to perform in different cities. Funny, feminist, and metaphorical, this spring show “Table for Bloom” will be a comedic dining experience you won't forget! We will be leaving from KCECH’s reception lobby at 4:45 sharp. If you’re in, please reply to this email to let us know! We will be covering the cost of your tickets, but they are non-refundable: so please, RSVP only if you are able to commit! And we are planning to go to Mask & Wig closing show next weekend in Center City, so if you are interested, stay tuned!
