Making Monotypes with The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell
It is with great pleasure to invite you all to this Sunday's session of The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell. In this session, participants will create MONOTYPES. Monotypes are created using printing ink and a combination of drawing, painting, and collage techniques on a smooth, non-absorbent surface. The image is then run through an etching press and printed onto paper. Each participant will develop at least two works. Join us in creating images that visually explore desires, curiosities, and frustrations. Materials will be provided. RSVP to: ivancot@upenn.edu TIME: Arrive before 3 PM / We depart at 3 PM (8 min walk to Addams Hall) LOCATION: Harnwell Lobby THE DRAWING WORKSHOP AT HARNWELL The Drawing Workshop at Harnwell is a vibrant visual arts program that invites residents to explore drawing, painting, and printmaking. Beyond studio work, the program hosts museum and gallery visits, film screenings, and guest artist lectures, culminating in a public exhibition of resident artwork at the end of each term. Through this initiative, Harnwell is expanding a permanent collection of student work displayed throughout the house—art made by residents, for residents. The program is led by Harnwell Faculty Fellow Ivanco Talevski, from the Department of Fine Arts at the UPenn Weitzman School of Design.
