What's good at Gutmann?

Innovation

You can find innovation in every element of Gutmann College House programming. Faculty and staff in Gutmann provide space for students to address complex issues through community and education by hosting events such as Friday Night Writes, AI Dinner Series, Application and Research Workshops. And if you join Gutmann for a social event, such as our Weekly Mix & Mingle discovery and creativity are encouraged!

Sustainability

Gutmann College House is the second purpose-built college house on campus. The LEED Silver-certified space promotes wellness by drawing in sunlight and offering views of campus and Philadelphia. The team at Gutmann works to highlight this intentionality around sustainable design by hosting events such as our end of year Clothing Swap and making conscience choices around catering and supply orders. Bring your own plate to our next house dinner!

Home

Entering Gutmann College House feels like coming home. Our team of faculty and staff work hard to create a welcoming environment through home cooked meals, craft nights, group trips, and finding space for students to be open and engaged with each other. Gutmann is the spot to reconnect with old friends or form new bonds! This is evident in the strong relationships between students and staff, as well as in our house motto “Innovation is Invented Together”.

About Gutmann

The Gutmann team of RAs, faculty, and staff work hard to establish a strong community and encourage residents to participate in activities that help us get to know each other, share our experiences, and grow individually and as a house. We encourage our residents to explore who they are through social activities and connection with each other. Together, we hope to shape our house into a vibrant home-away-from-home.
