The Netter Center Student Advisory Board is hosting a mixer for students involved with the Netter Center! This will serve as an opportunity to meet other students involved with the center, and to connect with the Advisory Board!

The seminar aims to address the disproportionate disciplinary actions faced by Black students in elementary and middle schools, which often contribute to the school-to-prison pipeline. Through collaboration between Penn GSE, Penn Carey Law’s Youth Advocacy Project (YAP), Collective Climb, and West Philadelphia High School counselors, this event explores restorative, trauma-informed alternatives to punitive discipline. By uniting educators, advocates, and students, the discussion centers on redefining discipline through empathy, equity, and education justice.
