What core values does Harrison celebrate?
Celebrate Culture: Harrison hosts annual events that promote and celebrate culture. From the Nigerian Independence Day Celebration to our Feed Me Culture Series to our Annual Drag Show with the LGBT Center, you're bound to celebrate and learn about various cultures and communities that are represented in Harrison and beyond!
Celebrate Community: Harrison has at least one in-house program every weekend. Whether it be one of our many Harrison Happy Hours hosted on Fridays at 5, our monthly Saturday Night Live Event of Sunday Brunch, there is no shortage of events to help you relax and destress every weekend.
Celebrate Wellness: Harrison hosts many events that support your holistic wellness. Harrison hosts weekly running/walking club events and weekly meditation classes. In addition to these, we host programs such as Planting in the Harrison Garden, Sunrise Yoga, Spring into Financial Wellness Brunch, and more to support your overall well-being and support living a healthy lifestyle.
Celebrate Cinema: Harrison is home to the Film in Residence Class – a .5 credit unit course that is offered every semester under the direction of Faculty Fellow Nicola Gentili. Each week, Harrison shows at least two movies that are open to everyone in the house to attend, whether you’re in the class or not. Some previous themes for the course have been America 250, Films within Films, and Strangers in a Strange Land.
