Du Bois, Lauder, and Stouffer College Houses in many ways represent an ideal College House experience. Residents have a much greater chance of getting to know one another on a deeper level, of building lifelong friendships and forging closer bonds with the residential faculty because their resident populations range from 180 to 350 and include members from all four academic years. Many first-years find that they enjoy the experience so much that they wind up staying through their senior year.
HOUSE SPOTLIGHT: STOUFFER
As you explore your housing options for the upcoming year, we encourage you to consider Stouffer College House. Stouffer has two buildings, Stouffer and Mayer, and first-year students live in Stouffer (or "Stouff-Stouff" to insiders.) Stoufffer has long been known for its enthusiastic community who have come to realize that, just like the House motto says, there really is nowhere else that comes closer to home.
Stouffer offers many opportunities to get involved in House life. Stouffer Steering is a House tradition that lets every resident have a voice in how the House operates and what activities happen. Stouffer has a rich variety of traditions, activities, and opportunities for engagement, making the House a place where residents truly feel at home. Our common spaces feature foosball, ping-pong, pool, and a variety of board games. When the weather warms up, pick-up basketball games, corn hole, and pickleball tournaments are popular pastimes.
Though no resident stays forever, the spirit of Stouffer lives on through our traditions and the enduring camaraderie shared by all who call it home.
