PENNaach, the University of Pennsylvania's premier South Asian Women's Dance Troupe, promotes South Asian culture through traditional, classical, and modern dance. Naach is the oldest surviving Indian fusion dance team in the country. This year's annual showcase, "Once Upon a Naach", is on Feb 13th at 5:30pm and Feb 14th at 6:30pm at the Iron Gate Theater --very close to our college house. The showcase presents self-choreographed pieces fusing South Asian and Western dance styles.
KCECH will be going to the Saturday, February 14 show --leaving from the reception lobby at 6:00 pm. (The show begins at 6:30 pm). We will have 10 spots available. If you would like to come along, please email Lidia (lleon@upenn.edu) AND Olee (oleeb@seas.upenn.edu), and bring $5 to the House Office (EH112) by Monday 02/09 until 5pm. (KCECH can partially subsidize the cost of tickets! 😉). If for any reason you're unable to make the payment, let Isabelle know, and we can work it out. Please, RSVP only if you are able to commit, as tickets are non-refundable!
Come watch Naach bring a fairytale to life and dance our way to a happily-ever-after!
